If we don’t deal with the habitual-criminal issue, then we aren’t dealing with the problem. Republicans would only be selling out law-abiding Americans’ gun rights by inches.

You are simply hanging on to your delusional NRA nuts, nothing more.  The rest of us know how to read the Constitution. Even Scalia admitted that guns are still subject to the 'regulated militia' clause.

We are not changing the literate reading of the Second just so you can hang on to the last of your idiot readers.
