Bias in the News

In a blow to organized labor, Gov. Jerry Brown vetoed legislation Tuesday that would have let unions organize child-care providers who work out of the home. Dave Sider, Sac Bee
The obvious problem is that the right of assembly and free speech were never abridged. Unions can organize anybody, all they want. This is the progressive left twisting language to get a reverse interpretation. The intent of the bill was to extend the Dills Act, and would have removed rights of the local voter to participate in hiring and firing, forcing all negotiations to occur through the union.
