Sheldon Richman misses a key point

It doesn't matter if those to whom you sell goods or labor are not the same as those from whom you buy these things. The same goes for America.

True, if you  complete the set. 

We trade with all sorts of people, here in the old USA.  All of these domestic trades are heavily tariffed in many odd ball sorts of ways, and little of it actually.
Yet, Mr. Richman, like most crony capitalists, would\ have us compete against free trade, at a severe disadvantage.
