It is inevitable and I am doing some of that upon selling a property. It is coming as part of the pension stampede. Small landlords are exiting the industry rapidly in Fresno, for that very reason. They know the unions are on the prowl, who wants to hold exposed assets in this environment?
The political plot, the idea of borrowing short term getting by for a few years, that plot hit the interest cycle. All layers of government in the good old USA have a rollover problem in triplicate. Old, new and current debt being rolled.
LA Unified schools will spend 57% on past due debt before spending on a student of administrator. This will not hold in California and we be seeing more of the constant tax hikes.
My particular problem is that I am on a tax scofflaw list from 20 years ago. That is the main reason I became a volunteer, the transaction costs of actually getting paid made no sense after the tax charges hit. But the good old digital prequal system has me on the list, and locked out of the fiat system. They are hanging me on the thing I wanted invented.
