Welty: Fresno State could face $11 million cut if Gov. Brown's tax plan fails
California State University, Fresno could lose $11 million next year if the Gov. Jerry Brown's tax plan fails. After the university suffered $5.4 million in budget reductions last month, the additional cut, almost twice as large, would be "impossible" to take, Fresno State President John Welty said this morning.
