Yahoo needs to expand its business intelligence function
If Yahoo has any meaning at all. Yahoo has strength in financial infortamtion, build that into general business intelligence. And the way to dominate the field is to figure it out before I do, and then organize business intelligence into an ontological navigation system. Mainly, search this blog for graph database, and follow the vendor links and do deals with them to create the semantic net for business intelligence. Just keep it a secret. Offer the client an opportunity to view common data overlaid by their own unique pattern. Clients can have proprietary moments with the data.
