From the BLS jobs report, Total Non -farm not-seasonally adjusted, Table B1
141484 | 143764 | 144180 | 144191 |
The nubers are in thousands, and we can see that some 11,000 jobs were added in December.
Is it fair to look at non -seasonally adjusted data? and hese coefficients are only valid for a statiuonary period of consistent growth.
It is all we have whenm the coefficient of seasonal adjustment is for crap. Right now all the coefficients are crap because the global economy is crashing. This is extreme white noise, no one knows how the numbers turn out until early February.
How many economists have read Dave Stockman's post and looked into this issuer? Remember we just had to redo season al adjustment because the coefficient was foul, how do we know if we got it right? We do the work, which none of the Kanosians want to do, they just read recipes.
I say Q4 is back on the table as the start of the current Kanosian recession. There is every reason to think the BLS has foul seasonal coefficients.
