Amidst all the news in the last week, both state and national, one seemingly small bit of information got a little bit lost in the shuffle. But Governor Newsom’s Executive Order [PDF], released two weeks ago, was anything but small: for the first time, the state’s top leader is calling for transportation funding to align with state goals on climate and the environment, and to help people cut back on driving.Gavin is doing the old wholistic approach, making us live near mass transit. It is an important point because the Old new Green Deal left a bunch of empty transit trains spewing CO2 in the air for 40 years. Now Streets Blog and the New New Green Dealers want to repeat and melt another huge part of the Earth's ice.
The outcome is foregone conclusion, automated uber cars with biofuels win, the trains, tracks and housing will sit idle and release CO2 for infinity making Streets Blog the likely pollution threat of human extinction.
