The spread between PPI and CPI is at the highest level on record which will create further #margin #pressures on companies that can't pass on inflation to #consumers. Also, why #confidence is collapsing.

PPI to CPI spread was is one of my indicators. Much of this is shipping costs.

But in the chart you can see this spread associates with recession.
