Movie pass is an insurance token for movie makers

I've had MoviePass since September, right after the company dropped the price of its one-movie-per-day subscription to the too-good-to-be-true cost of $10 a month. Since then, dozens of friends, colleagues, and even random strangers I’ve run into at movie theaters have asked if it’s really a good deal, and if they should sign up. My answer has always been yes, because for the right kind of moviegoer, the service offers a tremendous value.

It is really a discount token, and movie theaters should work here.  Movie makers need a futures market to bet their films, theater owners need to fill seats.  This is the erfect market for a discount coin.

But it has spent too much on attracting consumers who  loved the various membership deals.  Consumers used them as we expect, to make a bet that a few good movies will be coming out this season. Spread the bets, get the movie makers betting. Make an S&L pit for movie pass discount coin interest swaps, limited to members. Use the orequal concept.   Movie makers and theater owners both gain in less inventory volatility because dual pricing is still very liquid in the discount coin.

Fix it, automate it and make money with trailers, ads, and follow on youtube releases.

Ponder the sandbox theory, we want folks to hop on the short queues and skip the long, up and down the chain. In terms of the theater lover, this means walking into a theater at some ad hoc moment to catch all or part of whatever movie looks good.  He is hanging around the mall, likely shopping with fam, or kids with time.  This is a prequaled member, he will get movie ass coins, in advance, accept interest charges ex post.

We smooth theater seats, make them liquid. Movie makers and theater owners even out the queues leading into multi-screen theater systems.  Producers of the odd films accept movie pass discount coins more than the hot movies.  The theater goer is a member, and will take the odd film today, the hit tomorrow.  You have a captured a complementary set of traders, get out of the middle, automate thay, and make money on everything else. The movie pass site should be popular with home and away thater users of all types, ripe for capturing the audio visual market.
