The Federal Reserve Might As Well Use Carrier Pigeons
Banks are becoming useless antiques. And by the time the Federal Reserve has figured out how to make real time payments, I expect the technology at that time will have leapfrogged their best efforts.

The point is, big tech is being polite. Google slowing down its biometrics, Facebook slowing down with libra, and Apple taking tiny steps with Apple id.
All of big tech knows that when automated liquidity management hits the industry, the Fed had better participate or be left in the cold. Big tech, like me, is trying to give the Fed a chance to join the club. It is not just real time payments, it is doing a better deal with Congress to get some long term independence for the Fed.
