Bill Barr was correct, but the Supremes are dim bulbs

Bill Barr is Wrong to Claim Courts Cannot Examine Government Motives

The poster brings up the issue of examining the motives of government officials.

Unfortunately, if the motives of the government officials is needed to intgerpret the law, then the law is already ambiguous and the court should say so and strike it down. Or, in other words, a valid law is well written and reference to original motives is horse manure.

Unfortunately, we put dimwits like Sotomayor, Roberts and Thomas, the make shit up judges.  They want to keep the parts of the law that satisfies political rules, just the opposite of what the poster intends.;

The result of dim wit justices is a jammed court system, which we have. As long as we have dimwit Supremes who refer to the government motives then we will have jammed courts and break down of the judicial system.

It may be too late to fix any of the crap going on at the Supremes, we may have just have to shut down the federal judiciary for mass stupidity pursued by the Swamp.
