Repubs run against cartels and against gas taxes

California’s “jungle” primary system pits all candidates, regardless of party, against one another in a single primary, with the top two vote-getters moving on to the general election. Democrats fear that crowded Democratic fields will split their party's vote in some races, allowing Republicans to take both election slots.
We have fewer Repubs in the primaries and their voice is heard. Run the law and order, go after the cartels, that is a winning issue, Californians al hate the cartels. Show Nancy hugging the cartel members, scare the shit out of us.

And call Jerry Brown's gas tax is really a disguised pension tax hitting thew poor most. So the entire Repub message is about protecting poor people from the corrupt Dem cults.

Run against the Swamp, always, except where  the Swamp battle cartels. Don't mention gun control, but run against the NRA.
