Common security?

Texas woman shot, killed her husband because he was beating family cat, police say

This couple likely were  not well regulated as there is no command and controlled cat defense militia.   

These  two are typical NRA dufas.

There is a duality here. Good citizens arm themselves against violent threats, but the common security compels them to find and coordinate with some lawful law enforcement channel. Government compelled to provide such channels. Militia is the name, command and control by definition.

Think, the second is really implicit in a written constitution, impling its self defense.  Nowhere does it say loose cannon, those are stored until annual artillery day picnics.
