The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States.
Meadows says Fauci wrong to compare coronavirus to 1918 pandemic
He was at Georgetown the other day and he suggested that this virus was worse or as bad as the 1918 flu epidemic. And I can tell you that not only is that false, it is irresponsible to suggest so,” Meadows told Fox News’s Martha MacCallum. “Listen, we all say things and do things that we wish that we hadn’t done.”
600,000 is a high number. The population was smaller, but life expectancy was smaller. We have 140,000 deaths bet are only half way through the year and we could easily reach 3000,000 before it is over.
Fauci was correct, it is a good comparison. Meadows is a political liar, as are most of Trump's team. There will be unending lies and nonsense from the Trump crowd as long as he is in public.
