AOC is stuck.
She cannot go into budget negotiations and deliver huge interest rate hikes to her constituents. And she cannot go to MMT meetup without a Dem in the prez spot, except Biden. Biden plans a tax and sequester.
So AOC has no where to turn, she is at Godot cul de sac, relentlessly flailing at ghosts.
AOC is facing the usual as described by Politico in the Playbook:
TALKS BEGIN TODAY between the “Big Four” top congressional leaders and the TRUMP ADMINISTRATION over the budget and debt limit. Here’s the crux of it: Steep spending cuts -- known as the sequester -- automatically take hold in early 2020 if Congress doesn’t come to a spending caps agreement at some point this year. The debt limit needs to be lifted sometime this fall, too.
AOC and crew have no representation in the talks, in fact, the budget system seems beyond her comprehension, and most of us also. But she has to OK a series of continuing resolutions or sequester or a two year battle with NY and Cal about who gets taxes. None of this is the MMT moment she wants. She and the left wing are permanently stuck at waiting for Godot.
So why not impeachment? Nothing in the Swamp is otherwise solved from her point of view. And it was idiot Republicans who defined modern impeachment with Bubba. So, yes, go ahead, try an impeachment, gnarl things up badly. At least it protects AOC constituents from their own vote, they can lose their money without governments help.
