All my drone wars are effectively endless.
Both side produce the things, they meet, likely in the Persian Gulf and shoot each other. At any given point the cost benefit says I can send in a human, a 20 billion dollar naval task force, jet fighters, or a smart drone with a shotgun. The latter is about 4 grand. I have a hard time with any general who would choose the other options.
But there is the $150 billion in interest charges for the 4 trillion in now useless military hardware.
