The Fed has a rule, John Taylor

Who’s Afraid of Rules-Based Monetary Policy?

Keep government funded.

They are stuck with that rule.  The alternative is for Treasury to keep government funded. The Fed cannot change the rule on its own, it has a Constitutional restriction.  The senators cannot change the rule if another rule incurs a threat to the small states. California cannot change the rule else it goes bankrupt.

The is rule number one.  Rule number two: Suddenly default when rule number one eventually fails. We are trying to get a more sensible bankruptcy rule for the Swamp. You are not helping John Taylor.
