Compiled, linked and load in all its various forms

That was today's work.  Just trying the various versions of the various snippets and learning the common paths through the ordeal, while chasing a buying and never having the correct source on file. Every time I change a compile switch in code, the source code fo all the other object is out of sync in the debugger.  This stuff is the make complexity, all the possible configurations have to be carried in make, we end up with this middle layer just to manage the sources.  We want to move that up into the syntax engines, do run time configurations.
