I preferred not looking for work

Those not looking for work are going to be  variety. One thing they have in common is they quit or get fired at recession time, then say, "Why bother".

Otherwise, they are a varied bunch.  I am glad I am not part of the politically correct wine and cheese sect in Silicon Valley. My kid is good at it, not me.

Those numbers are so large there must be some who work on and off again carers.  If they asked me to do something, for pay, it would have to be something very close to what I do now.

I am not sure authoring this blog fits any job description. Ideal job: redneck technology writer for the Onion. Pretty good comedy there.
