What is the US military's next move?

Bolton has Trump stuck with a vulnerable squad of F22s in Qatar.

He cannot remove them without looking weak, like Iran won the drone wars. So, he has one choice, deploy defender drones in massive quantities, limit the damage to minor repairs, but keep shooting down the incoming drones at slightly lower cost, win on the margin.

The F22s remain in their hangars, mostly safe. The skies way to dangerous for any actual use. All across the middle east will be a vast market for defender drone swarms. High volumes of drone to drone attackers and trackers.

It will not stop. The utility of delivery and ag drones will drive the commercial market even bigger. Cities everywhere forced into the air traffic control business, and police drones adapting military style defense.

But I have a hard time seeing how these drones end up attacking humans, even in war. It is kind of a moral problem, our right to die in defense of evolutionary success is gone.   Even in victory, the victor has to get in the bus and drive 300 miles to the prize.
