Amino acid, thee are five I think. This structure will not survived very far out of its native environment. It has three good orientation, using five combinations.  Cram  a bunch of these into a smooth pond which otherwise has steam vents from nearly circular fissures. The gravity imposes a surface on the pond, the vent is a vertical axis, there will be a radius that some partition of the acids will maintain, they will have a natural radius y partition. The vent is circular enough and we get these radial modulations. That induces a stable point about some stable radius, at that point, the radial movement of amino acids is minimized, and they have been filtered across that circumference.. That is reactive, it will favor biochemical combinations the are steady across the energy gradient of the vent.

The entire pond should be a filtration system, like throw a rock into a scummy pond, you get ripple, and the ripples are stuck for amount five minutes.  The collision is faster that the pond transaction rate, time seems to slow, but it is momentum accumulating along an imaginary axis.
