Repricing gold is easy if you are on the gold standard and have a significant chunk of gold. Nixon simply exited the gold market.
We have government yield paying debt, not gold. And we have banks, not gold miners. Neither Trump nor AOC nor the MMTers can have the Fed exit the banking industry. They are all tied to the monopoly tax dollar, no banking, no tax dollar flow, taxes are in the toilet.
