A snake coursing through a demographic

 

The cycles happen when the covid virus reaches a congestion point at some demographic boundary. At that point it crosses its own path, and we get cycles.

Who discovered this? A research fellow at Micresoft, brilliant and died in a mountain climbing accident 20 years ago. I forget his name, but find the name and award him another Fields medal. (If I remember, he may have had one already). He found the relationship between differential equations approximated along the closed Z plane by generators.

This passed Microsoft right by, I think this was the Ballmer period.  Microsoft missed it, Google did not, and the rest is history.  I found it, and it is what started me going.
