Ezra Klein struggling with the state system

The crisis isn’t too much polarization. It’s too little democracy.

Klein acknowledges the state system we have is not a true democracy. Fine, then he dumps on Republicans in the small states forgetting the both New York and California are quite happy with the state system, as Dems.  California will never allow popular voting for4 president noir will they will never break up their state.

So, if Klein were honest and doing more then argue for clicks he would note that the inconsistency is with both parties.  He should go ask his buddy, DeLong, ask DeLong if we would trust the public sector system in the hands of six separate smaller states out here? No, Delong will hedge his bet, just like Klein.

Both these nuts will hedge their bet on global warming solutions, or any other problem.  They will always ague from the position that their priors  top the debate priority, and that is why we never really take them seriously.

And Klein will get no where with his theory as long as his priors determine the outcome.  Nor do I see Klein talking about revenue sharing.  There are a whole class of solutions he is not allowed to talk about, and his worthless web site illustrates his problem.
