To play full game mode, you enter:
FullGameMode game_name
Linux kernel will shut down all processes except the processes needed for named game. The game set up uses all the technology discussed here and elsewhere regarding the new graphics and io. Everything is still linux kernel compatible, and linux can restore fairly fast. Turn the kernel over to the game manager, let the gamers run the show.
My favorite mother board maker, Raspberry, can produce linux game hardware, AMD has great chips, no NVidia. Linux owns the market.
