My socialist medical system is still the best

The gain is specialization, military medical corp. We just have the federal military run emergency medical services everywhere.  The Fed take them through critical care, then hand off. The Medical Corp becomes a branch of the military, also trained in large scale humanitarian service. Surgeon General gets a promotion. All other federal participation in medical insurance be stopped, except as a normal regulatory function.

My system bypasses states, a direct, uniform service, the only uniform service in medicine. The US military recruits the kids for doctor school and three years, consecutive,  on duty as emergency intern. The military produces grades below and some above the standard emergency room doctor. Emergency and critical care rooms become federal military installations.

Pure fascism, get the job done that is done most efficiently by military supervision.
