This is a tough legal case

U.S. authorities have been probing Huawei since at least 2016 for allegedly shipping U.S.-origin products to Iran and other countries in violation of U.S. export and sanctions laws, sources told Reuters in April.

She is the CFO of her dad's manufacturing business in China.  Someone here shipped some HP equipment to the Chinese company and they shipped it to Iran.  It was an American law.

American law does not extend to China, near as I can tell. She was arrested in Canada.  I do not get it, lawyer please? This seems to be a foreign trade deal subject to a treaty which does not exist. Hmmm....
