Regime change in flight control

Ethopian Airlines Pilot Warned Of "Flight-Control Problems" Adding To Boeing/FAA Pressure

This seems to be an instability in flight control, someone installed a separate regime for take off than for flight, and the aircraft itself can't make the switch,  it end up oscillating between regimes. Shut off the auto pilot and go manual.
