It is because we are spectrally sparse, and Fed marks the spectral turning points. So we are hedging that this cut marks a small down turn. We are betting the complete channel, spreading our bets across the known points of symmetry.
The paradox is that this might be the one time we do it different as the generational meets the recessional.
