The vote split the four Democrats now known as the “Squad,” with Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) voting against the bill, and Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) voting “yes.”
AOC may not know what she does all the time, but this vote is big. It means she will not support MMT. she will instead kick can down the road. She has bought into the 'This time is different' crowd, and her constituents will be paying excess interest charges as much as 4% of their income.
