There are contests, who can make the best foam RC plane for the cheapest. The easiest design is straight wing on fuselage. Dollar Tree foam can be rolled into a nice two layer wing. Or it can be laminated for stronger fuselage. Scotch tape make great hinges for the control surfaces.
