And the LA mayor builds nice shacks for $50,000

The city paid more than $5 million in city and private funds to run the Railroad Drive shelter, according to Emily Halcon, the city’s homeless services coordinator. That’s more than $30,000 per permanently housed person, or more than $18,000 for every person placed into permanent or temporary housing.
Pricing the per person public housing cost, coming to about 30-50k.   But the Sacramento case was over 17 months and placed folks temporarily for 17k. The LA shacks do not include services.  But, the problem is, nature fills a nice climate, and there is plenty of supply.
