$200,000 per homeless shelter?

Los Angeles claims its "city/county homeless crisis response system helped 21,631 people into permanent housing last year", although that figure bears a similarity to the statistical sleight of hand the Obama administration used whenever it claimed success in "saving or creating" jobs throughout the long years of the Great Recession. In reality, new housing funded by the $1.2 billion bond enabled by the county's 2016 measure to address homelessness is only just now finishing construction. A $52 million project that received part of its funding from Proposition HHH will be the first to open, which will house 49 permanent residents and 250 others in "temporary bridge housing".Through January 2019, some $607 million of the $1.2 billion has been committed to building 3,700 housing units. Although voters were promised the money would fund 10,000 units of new housing to support the city's homeless population, officials have warned that they may only be able to afford to build 6,000 with that money, which would puts the average cost per unit at $200,000.
Qui=8te an astounding cost for a room with light bulb and shared bathroom.   Add the $300,000 yearly cost of an outdoor toilet.  It seems confusing, mainly because most of the LA City and County elected officials have no idea what government costs look like.

What is less noticed is that Mayor Garcetti invited some 10 million sick kids to come and camp out at the UCLA medical center.  This is where the left gets confused, they think tax payers like paying these costs, no, we actually don't.  As the ridiculous elected city and county officials reveal all their costs, you can bet the Prop 13 revision will not pass.

These are not smart people in LA, remember California had a large drop in our collective IQ as a result of widespread drug use and  immigration. The situation is way too much for Gavin, he has already let the legislature run loose.  Dunno the outcome, but LA is pretty much doomed.
