In Alaska they see DC and the energy regulations as their government. In California we see Gavin and the failed staters. Most of us out here are unaware of even our US represenatative. In Wyoming they know the US rep personally.
Ask instead. Who provides the most services, your mayor your governor or your president. If you raised taxes, where would you raise them, locally, at the state or in the Swamp.
These questions isolate the information structure, or semantic net, that defines their idea of government. Then you can break these into categories if they do not convolve well, like a search graph. My hypothesis. Californians want to keep their taxes within the state. Wyoming wants them all from the Swamp. Florida lets the tourist towns run themselves. And this is the reality of their every day 'vote'. This method prices the semantic links with tax info, make them put up a percentage increase.
The bottom line is that there is little low hanging fruit to socialize across this disparate spectrum of economies that make the total government. But there is some, and it can be effective. You need sandbox techniques, techniques that can isolate a distinct set of duplicities that can be moved up to swamp level. Even Hayek's triangles admit of the existence of central government.
Sandbox handles government goods flow as well as commercial goods flow. This government stuff is simpler, it is one color. The whole trick is to agglomerate the duplicities and create the congestion optimization trading pit needed. Bunching up to get just enough commutative property. The sandbox has money swaps galor endogenous to government. Working the pit design in Congress we make the two color, very efficient once you realize we are stuck against a hard bound.
We are stuck with the proton, so lets create the electron options market and make orbitals.
