That annualizes to about a 30% drop.
How long will the recession last? Until we get a partial vaccine and that is still five quarters away. Stimulus does not help much, it just causes people to run around and get covid infected. Eviction moratorium might be better, it is capital control time.
Since we cannot spend safely, that is spend without getting infected, less stimulus is better until the covid partial vaccine looks more promising. I would buy into a supplemental unemployment insurance for a year, but that is about it.
