Hyperbolic functions make those swirls. The change in color will occur when another 'bit' of the orthogonal Shannon digit kicks in. Make the complete sequence count up and the shape of the hyperbolic changes when another bit flips. Its all about Counting Things Up, we should call it the CTU theory!
