Merchant guilds was a wholesale network of trusted producers in the 15th and 16th century, so of the original mass ledger system. Their trusted system was replaced by written books and ports, which allowed personal traded based on standard product lists and reduction history.

The theme is everywhere in history, the interaction with information tech and transport tech. They are two coherent, but isomorphic channels of flow. It is the same theme as the S&L tech,the information flow keeps the baskets optimally full. Money derives from information about inventory.
