If the continuing resolution became the majority

On the federal budget. Consider the so called budget showdown, both parties have a big government faction.  What if the center just said,do the continuing resolution for another quarter? Nothing happens, we likely keep threading the needle and avoiding any recession risk. We have been doing continuing resolutions for some time, keep on doing it!
