Stopping the meth and fentanyl crisis

Start by decriminalizing cocaine and pot.  This sets the education agenda on the two main killers.

Critics will say that cocaine is closely related to high crime, but cause and effect do not match the way it matches for meth which is likely the cause of half the residential property crimes.  I would drop the cocaine issue. Cops waste time with  cocaine, it is not a networked drug, not efficient for police, standard rehab works ok for cocaine.

Make the education and policing about two military grade toxins distributed in the hoods.  Make meth possession punishable by an immediate lock up for three days, or workcamp for three days.  The most immediate cure is to get these meth addicts off the streets and out of the meth network.  The swift action disrupts the cartel delivery systems.

\Understand that local gang members are not that enthralled with meth, it destroys the local community where the local gangs thrive.  It is the foreign cartels from Mexico and central America that import the stuff.  These cartels have their own base of operations separated from local gangs.

Distribution of fentanyl is a separate issue and another expert can speak on that.
