Our founders fouled the precious metals market

Article 1, Section 10
  1. No state shall … emit Bills of Credit and make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts.

Restoring Sound Money to America

The solution to all this monetary mayhem is go further than the Framers did: Separate money and the state entirely, in the same way that our ancestors separated church and state.

Not entirely. The right of default by citizens on their government debt is a natural right of voters.  Nor do we want to foul up the precious metals market with socialist government. Then we have to deal with the 14th and the sanctity of debt.  So, if George Will thinks the Constitution is nearly perfect, Mr. Will need to rethink.

I have the New Fed plan.  It is the best possible and separates the state and banking for 15 years, renewable.  Follow that plan, it is sandbox so it will work.
