The universe always attempts to compute a more accurate value for pi.
My unproven claim is that this leads to artificial intelligence, the universe ultimate gets close to a htinking being, pi gets accurate for an instant, and we big bang it.
So, all the equations of physics need to be written around the uncertainty in the current value of pi. We need a pi constant. The ultimate calculable version of pi is determined by the number of spectral points the vacuum quants get out of the furnace, what is their wave number. Getting pi more accurate is maximizing entropy.
A corollary is that the universe starts getting smart with biology, and biology eventually flies the kite and discovers the electron, then sandboxes appear everywhere trying to make path lengths probablistically equal in length, then ... I dunno the rest, it is an incomplete sequence.
