As states exchange insults over who subsidizes who (yes, blue states subsidize red states), some people I've been talking to are suggesting that red states may face a worse fiscal crisis than blue this time around, bc of their different revenue bases

He has causality wrong. The red states are those that do not have the economies of scale vs those that do.  That scale effect causes the color separation. Look to the right on this blog and observe the new economic model on closing the loops.  Your flat earth theory is gone, kaput and as uninformative as your 50 little Hoovers.

Right here is the problem.  Krugam thinks this is a two party problem when it is a two different scale problem. But more important, it is now a three color, the states will need to adopt three levels of scale.  So Krugman is going to yap endlessly thinking the world is a left right. No, the left right is a degeneration because the Federales do not have the scale adjustment bandwidth in their system. So politics is not helping at the moment and the more we are deluded the more likely we have the meeting of the elders.
