Mail and hoopla

Dems tossing around conspiracies, and Trump taunting them on post office anxiety.

Truth says the post office is not likely to perform well enough to manage this mail election. That condition has everything to do with politicians doing hoopla rants at the post office in the past.

The post office has the usual pension problems. Some might try to claim otherwise, but pensions are a wide spread problem,  the postal union suffers the condition.

Can the post office be ready? Sure, with a lot of overtime, but they become the nation's election commission, they end up guaranteeing the vote. It might be a great and useful form of income if the post office plays it right.

So, the question of the post office is under study.  There are no real conspiracies, but their are obligations due at generation changeover. If the election system can be consolidated around a single line of business at the post office, then I say fine, put them in charge of elections.  They are specifically mentioned in the Constitutions, and on time delivery of election ballots might be inferred with a little legal logic.

This is a hard boundary, the post office is not going away.  There are no philosophical sides, really.  Any side which looks at the problem is stuck with immediate Constitutional bounds, both sides do it by enforced Law. So the minimization would be consolidation of the socialism we are stuck with, go ahead and let it be the national election supervisor.
