It depends.
The simplest standard will work with swift, I am sure. That level of programming is the spread sheet level, basically simple spreadsheet instructions to get you from node to node on the contract tree. The one you might give away needs that and nothing more. The next level up i open. I like a hand held Python interpreter. It needs more charging, better batteries, and has a nice screen.
All the cards want to work with the users home computer and get access to secure applications. Even the simpler versions can down load fairly complex spreadsheet patters, I can see an active industry there, a fintech gold mine.
One can see that the best ARM chip design will make billions.
