Mueller knew it was Hillary and her attempt to dig up dirt on Trump. Nothing wrong, except she stirred the pot by involving Putin. That evidence was partially suppressed by Mueller thus making it impossible to prove obstruction, since he had already tipped the scales.
So Muller is stuck with a perfectly legal dirt attempt by Hillary, except she paid some Russian consultants. Mueller decided that given the choice of high lighting Hillary, or ignoring Trump, he chose the latter, all within his prerogative. Trump, having wind that this was all a Hillary fiasco, was within his rights to obstruct continued investigation, since he knew the FBI had prior involvement with Hillary's dirt.'
Dropping the entire shit ball is a very good idea for Swampers of all stripes. At this point, it is mostly about the worst instincts of Swampers.
