The ten year rises to a yield of 2.54%

A 16 basis point jump in the recent weeks. 

I consider 2.2% to be the long term sustainable interest charge. 2.5 is my one sigma point. When we go above that the senate budgeting looks shaky.  The variation is only 15 billion or so in interest charges that need reserved. But over ten years, that has to be balanced against some small, but important, earmarks in the senate.
