What happened to the 400 billion in new spending by the candidates?

House Democrats on Tuesday introduced a plan to raise spending caps by $51 billion, a counter to President Trump’s plan to cut $125 billion from the caps and sneak $96 billion into an off-book defense spending account. House Budget Committee Chairman John Yarmuth (D-Ky.) introduced legislation that would increase the non-defense cap to $631 billion in 2020, a $34 billion increase, and the non-defense cap to $664 billion, a $17 billion increase. In 2020, the caps would rise to $646 for non-defense and $680 for defense.

So, this bill includes the debt limit and a set aside to pay for Trump's two trillion deficit.  The opening shot is about 1.3 trillion in new deficits, but this won;t last. The real number is close to 2-3 trillion, and that number will be coming with a tax and sequester.

So why are the nine senator candidates all collectively proposing some 400 billion in new spending?  Nothing in the tax and sequester includes another 50 billion a year for Kamala, much less all her competitors. And, the cost of Trump deficits is already 60 billion a year.

Gavin will have to look elsewhere for taxes to cover the teacher strikes.
