This blogger needs a few more weeks to fake it

Patient readers, I am finishing up a post on framing climate change, and so (again) will throw down some conversation starters in the Politics section  .. By Lambert Strether of Corrente.

We are in pre-negotiational theory mode, how we do it in economics. The answer, for his frames is simple:

If you melt ice today then be prepared to pay current charges to me and all the other proven pre-industrial pedestrians. We know enough to price the cost of melted ice, and we know how much ice Mr. Lambert will melt as soon as he releases his 'framing'. And we will note the CO2 liability to Mr. Lambert and all his believers accept when he posts his request to melt ice. We will appropriately discount his promise to refreeze the ice later. He may very well become Oil Black if he fouls up the attempt to refreeze all his melted ice.

We are in fake it mode, the period Marx called out when all the contradictions become apparent.  Efficiency of scale demand that all parties take a break, and re-fake it. They will be half again as truthful, and the volatility be half of of the previous time.  This is not a crisis, just stand around and loudly tap toe while all parties finish their fake it meetings.
